APL Unveils New Chinese Services

Shipping group American President Lines has unveiled two new services connecting China to Australia and Indonesia.

The China Australia Service, or CA6, will connect the Chinese ports of Shanghai, Ningbo and Yantian to the largest eastern Australian cities of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and is set to commence Aug. 17.

APL’s China Southeast Asia Service 8, or CS8, meanwhile will operate a weekly service connecting the ports of Shanghai, Ningbo and Shekou in central and southern China with Indonesia’s largest port cities of Jakarta and Surabaya.

APL is a subsidiary of shipping line CMA CGM and alongside container transport also provides heavy and oversized cargo handling worldwide via its fleet of fleet of about 90 vessels.
