PIER71™ — Port Innovation Ecosystem Reimagined @ BLOCK71 — boosts innovation across the maritime and maritime-related industries by attracting talent, enabling the exchange of ideas, channelling investment into start-ups, and accelerating ventures. Established in 2018 by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and NUS Enterprise, the entrepreneurial arm of the National University of Singapore, PIER71 works to position Singapore as a vibrant maritime ecosystem spearheading world-class innovation.

PIER71 has supported over 200 start-ups from more than 20 countries, helped start-ups raise over US$100 million post-Smart Port Challenge, and enabled the deployment of 60+ new technologies in Singapore.
