Murray Cooper brings over four decades of hands-on experience in transportation, logistics, and international trade compliance to the Breakbulk Asia Advisory Board. Throughout his career, Murray has specialised in managing project specific logistics for oil and gas, mining, resources, capital, and industrial projects across Australia, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the UK, Europe, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, the USA, Brazil, and the wider Pacific Rim. His career has taken him well beyond the boardroom; he has lived and worked in country on oil and gas and mining projects in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the USA, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Murray's expertise spans packaging, materials handling, transportation, warehousing logistics, supply chain consultancy, and regulatory trade compliance across both private and public sectors. He has consistently delivered supply chain solutions for clients with vendor networks spanning the globe. His career has included senior roles as Sales Manager with AMCOR Packaging, Regional Project Manager with Brambles Project Services (now Toll Project Services) and Fritz Companies (now UPS Supply Chain Solutions), Director of Trade Development with the Department of the Chief Minister, Northern Territory Government, and Global Logistics and Trade Compliance Manager with McDermott, headquartered in Houston. He has also served as Director of Corporate Governance with LV Shipping. Murray is currently CEO and Founder of Prime Trade Management Services Pte. Ltd., a Singapore registered company. Murray has most recently developed ACCEL, a state of the art and cost-effective Regulatory Trade Compliance Due Diligence platform, screening for sanctions, restricted party lists, dual-use export controls, HS code classification, and hazardous/precursor chemicals across multiple jurisdictions. He also publishes a monthly blog under the Prime Trade Management Services banner, keeping industry stakeholders informed on new and proposed trade regulations. In addition, Murray is the architect of Prime-Procure, an initiative designed to integrate all international supply chain stakeholders involved in onshore and offshore oil, gas, renewable energy, mining, resources, industrial, and capital projects onto a single end-to-end supply chain platform, from concept to completion. Murray's guiding philosophy is that successful supply chain solutions come from being close to the action and attentive to detail. His knowledge has been forged on the ground, working directly with customs authorities and logistics service providers at both origin and destination. Born and educated in Adelaide, Australia, Murray is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Australia (CMILT).
